Box of Frogs is more than your average café.
Located in Bridewell Lane, in the beating heart of Bantry, our fresh, Irish-roasted barista coffee is celebrated by locals as well the tourists who flock to this beautiful corner of West Cork.
During the day we’re popular with families and serve delicious, home-cooked breakfasts, brunches and lunches to satisfy bellies big and small. In the evening we serve drinks and light bites to those who appreciate Bantry’s music and arts scene.
We’re renowned for serving great food at affordable prices and love to put a smile on the faces of our customers while we do it.

Visited Bantry whilst on holiday and came across this place and my goodness I absolutely loved the food as did my partner.
The staff are great too. Just a shame we hadn’t found it earlier on as we would have visited more than the two times.

A bit more about Box of Frogs.
Mad as a Box of Frogs is a phrase we use here in Ireland. When we (the O’Donovan family) first set up the cafe, people thought we were a bit mad. The name felt just right. There’s no doubt opening in a quiet little laneway was a gamble but, fortunately, it’s one that paid off. Over the years we’ve gone from strength to strength, even rebuilding the kitchen and bakery a few years back.
We work hard to bring you homemade fresh and tasty food, hot and cold drinks, fresh coffee and mom’s gorgeous treats and cakes, all at reasonable prices. We know how important it is to get value for money and how disappointing it can be when you’re not happy with your purchase.
We started the Box of Frogs to provide choice, value and fun to Bantry consumers.
We love our cafe, we love our community and we love Bantry. We’re pretty sure you will too.
